Ginger-Lemon Iced Tea

8 cups water
3 tea bags
1 medium-size fresh gingerroot (about 4 ounces) smashed and cut into chunks (about 3/4 cup chunks)
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
Lemon wedges and/or slices
Fresh gingerroot for garnish
In a saucepan over medium heat, bring water, tea bags and ginger to a boil. Cook for 15 minutes. Add sugar and lemon juice and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and strain tea into bowl or pitcher, discarding the solids.
Set aside to cool slightly. Cover and refrigerate until chilled through, at least 2 to 3 hours.
Serve over ice with a lemon wedge and slice of fresh ginger.
Makes 8 servings.

Bahan:

300 gr daging cincang
300 gr kelapa setengah tua parut
5 buah cabai rawit iris halus
2 batang serai ambil putihnya iris halus
5 lembar daun jeruk iris halus
9 cm lengkuas parut
600 ml minyak goreng
Batang serai secukupnya ambil putihnya utuhkan.

Bumbu, haluskan:

3 siung bawang putih
5 butir bawang merah
1 sdt lada bubuk
2 sdm gula jawa serut
10 buah cabai merah
5 cm kunyit
2,5 cm kencur
10 buah kemiri
1 sdt garam
0,5 sdt gula pasir.

Cara membuat:

1. Campur daging cincang dengan kelapa parut, aduk rata. Masukkan bumbu halus, cabai rawit, serai, daun jeruk, dan lengkuas, aduk rata.

2. Lilitkan 1 sdm adonan kebatang serai, padatkan. Bakar di atas bara hingga harus. Celupkan daging lilit ke minyak goreng panas sebentar. Angkat dan sajikan.
